Wow! What a brilliant stay. The whole family loved it - including our teenage daughter who usually loves being attached to technology. It was so lovely to see her spending her whole day in the creek, at the waterholes or cooking up marshmallows on the fire. We have never seen our dog so exhausted from constantly accompanying us on all of our walks. The addition of the rope to get to and from the creek was wonderful too. The hospitality was great - not intrusive. We couldn't get over how many birdwing butterflies and blue kingfishers we saw. We would definitely love to come back. These cottages are a hidden delight, less than 5 minutes off the BRUCE highway surrounded by bush. They are extremely well set up with everything for you for a night or week, cooling fans, great breeze, outdoor BBQ. They also have the most AMAZING huge private waterhole a ten minute stroll from the cottage - we relaxed here with a bottle of champagne after out hike over on Hinchinbrook I. A top choice for a great value night away.

Wonderful location, very peaceful, nice shaded seating area out the back overlooking the creek, abundant butterflies. First time on our holiday our son stopped harassing us about watching TV and was continually searching outside for interesting wildlife. Spent some time down at the creek which is shaded and beautiful, wonderful clear water. Family highlight was gathering firewood and toasting marshmallows in the firepit. Just a short drive to Cardwell for supplies or a coffee. accommodation was great, beds were comfortable, excellent air conditioning, well equipped kitchen, screens to keep the bugs outdoors. Only real negative was the local wildlife noisily trying to raid the fridge at night.
